DJ-MediaTools is a extension for Joomla 3 and 2.5
It gives the opportunity to create slides or albums with images, Vimeo/Youtube videos, articles, DJ-Catalog2 products, DJ-Classifieds ads,
K2 items or Joomla content/articles and put them into articles, modules or create detached component views.
All items ( images,videos,articles) will be displayed in attractive way.
DJ-MediaTools works well with responsive templates.
Latest 2.0.2 version of DJ-MediaTools extension brings the K2 support. It means that K2 items can be used as a source of DJ-MediaTools Albums.
The K2 Items plugin allows to:
- select whole categories or specific items
- order items
- set items ordering rule
- show/hide/display featured items
- set the time range ( for "most popular" or "most commented")
- fetch items with media only
- set default image More

K2 ranks #1 in HostGator's top 10 Joomla! extensions list

We were pleasantly surprised today when we read HostGator's blog post on the top 10 Joomla! extensions, ranking K2 as #1 in their list!
HostGator is one of the largest shared hosting companies in the world (part of the Endurance Int'l Group of companies which also owns Bluehost) so it's really an honor for the K2 project to be ranked #1 Joomla! extension according to them. I don't know if this list is just a "snapshot" of what's hot in the Joomla! community or a list based on stats HostGator gathers from hosting probably thousands of Joomla! sites. In any case it's flattering :)

We were actually double-flattered as JoomlaWorks since we were the only company with 2 extensions on this top 10 list. Frontpage Slideshow ranked #6 essentially declared the best slideshow system for Joomla!. More
